Chair concept:

Inspired by the angles and height of church pews, seeking to create a modern form of seating designed for small open spaces to serve multiple functions.. Loft decor is more intentional, you need to find a way to create storage while also consolidating the space as much as possible. This chair serves as a seat for either a dining table or desk, shelving/storage, and as a sculptural focal point of a space.

Project Vase

My original thoughts were to create a human form emerging from a would be ceramic vase with parts of the side missing to create windows into the interior. I got very into this concept, however after hours of trial and error I had to change my design direction. Here is my closest attempts at the female form: Using poly line, loft, planarsrf, and bend for the arch that is needed to match the curvature of the vase.

I finally landed on two designs with similar organic structures interacting with exterior elements and shapes. Rendered monochromatically as seen in this sample with white marble and concrete.

Wk3b Bus Stop Concept

Integrating natural habitats for indigenous wildlife with human dwellings.

Duality: offering a sustainable design that both meets the needs of wildlife, and addresses functionality for human transit experience.

Aesthetics: Modeled after a Mayan temple with a modern lens. Incorporating living roof/walls to attract wildlife and blend the structure into a natural setting, while proving multi level dwellings for bus passengers coming and going. Emphasis on letting light through to all levels through openings in the walls and roof, centrally designed around a large set of stairs.
